My Friend Was My Angel

I’m tired, I am yawning, my mind, is slowing down

I don’t know what, will come to me, words, are floating, round

My arms, are feeling weary, a stretch, catch words, not come

Then they, start a bouncing, lovely, bring, a hum

Ping and pop, they bounce away, spring back, before, my eyes

They want, to join a sentence, with beginning, fill, the lines

My attention, they try, to keep, my lids, they slowly, fall

My words, are full of energy, now formed, within, a ball

I give up, no time to rest, my lid, now, off my pen

I scribble away, automatic, I’ve started, close, to end

I finish off, as I so yawn, I’ve filled, my pages, so

Stay with me, I’ll share with you, words, written, lids, still, low

A bedtime story, I’ll now share, to ease, your tired mind

I hope, you are, now comfortable, pillows, sitting, high 

I’ll start, now you are ready, curl up, if you wish, so

It starts, one night, on Winters eve, from dark skies, falling, snow

Looking out of window, settled, by street light

Something, quite so beautiful, it’s coat, shines, glorious, bright

It looks up, it catches gaze, it’s lashes, curled, to peak

It understands, why it has joined, only body, mouth, not speak

A tiny hand, let’s out a wave, my friend, gently lifts, it’s hooves

A dance, within the bedroom, my friend, it’s body, moves

So in sync, with each other, something, shows, the same

All at once, Four wings appear, we fly off, my Angel Came

I would like to say thank you, to you all, for your continued support of my work.

I appreciate the time you take to read my work each day and I feel so blessed I am able to share each day with you words that flow from my Heart, Mind and my Soul.

I started writing this blog, 5 years ago, I can’t believe where the time as gone.

I’m not very confident with technology, all of my previous books, I have written, were created the old fashioned way, books and books, chapters galore, scribbles, erasing my mistakes.

I was working a night shift and returning from work, my Son, spoke to me, there you go Mum, now you have no excuse to share your work.

I had spoken to both my children for most of their childhoods, both enjoying the stories I shared with them each night, as I tucked them into bed.I told them one day, I will share my words with others.

Technology and the support from my Son setting up this blog for me, as helped me to share my work with you all over the last 5 years.

A journey of healing, growth and a deeper understanding of the spiritual path I am walking on, has been reflected in my work.

I have many more years, more growth and more understanding to share with you all.

My Great Grandmother May

Growing up, my best friend, someone, inspired, me

She loved me, unconditionally, proud, kept telling, me

She’d share with me, sip, Sherry, let me dive, in cheddars, so

I’d comb, her hair, of Silver, pass tissue, blow, her nose

The person, I’m describing, inspired, so my work

Loved, to hear my stories, shared hers, Wisdom, took

Sitting, in her, armchair, flowered nighty, ankles, rest

Woolly booties, warm her feet, she really, was the best

Shilling, she'd give, each Sunday, it would buy, my bag, of sweets

One, I’d save, for Sunday, share with her, she’d suck, no teeth

We’d talk, about the weather, stories, from the war

She’d listen, as I shared, with her, my dreams, I have, in store

My Great grandmother, beautiful, May, it was, her name

I’d dream of her, bring comfort, as I slept, away

One day, an Angel, came to me, Ten years, so I was

Whispered in my ear, your Great Grandmother, sits, with God

I felt, my tears, well up, I suppressed, my sobs, felt sad

Leaving classroom, run up, path, no Mother, only Dad

I knew, what heard, had happened, my Mother, the gates, she’d always be

Instead, she sent my Father, today, from school, collected, me

In my dreams, I still see her, speak, the night, away

She’d ask me, how my day as been, move curl, that’s gone, astray

I’d ask her so, hows you’re day been, a smile on face, I’d see

Do not worry, precious one, In God’s garden, he comforts me

Signs From Our Angels

I tell you, of a story, one, that is, so true

It happened, on a clear day, when the skies, were Blue

Not a cloud, within the sky, no wind, no gentle, breeze

Just me, my Heart, My Angels, chatting so, with me

I asked, my Angels, for a sign, one, my eyes, could see

Something, to take, my breath away, what would come, to me

The sky, lit up, the clear, turned dim, illuminate, what sent

Array, of colours, beautiful, my Angel, sent, more friends

Colours, swishing, swaying, dance, elegantly, through, the air

Laughter, be heard, so faintly, as they, join, in pairs

My Angels, came, both big and small, captivate, I felt

My sign, for me, so beautiful, my Heart, it so, did melt

I guess what I am sharing, our Angels, love, our chats

They even, think it’s funny, play tricks, flick off, our hats

They wait each day, for our calls, ready, willing, to help

If you should call, remember, your sign, they will, send out

The Night Your Angel Came

One night, I felt, contorted, my body, in a slump

No tallness, to my body, back, protruding, hump

My hair, falling, to cover face, soak up, falling, tears

Heart, heaving, I sob, away, hurt, it is, so real

That night, it took my strength, my courage, nowhere, seen

Two, loved ones left, no longer, here, in my Heart, they’d been

Took, too soon, One, I, not met, but in my Heart, do stay 

I meet them both, in prayers, each day, my Heart, they always, lay

I hold, their hands, I stroke, their face, tell them, I love you

That night, both left, I watched, them leave, on Angel wings, off Two

Both, blew a kiss, Two feathers, land, gently, in my hands

Each day, I spot, a feather, White, I know, your both, around

My Story Of My Life

I open up my book, look blankly, at the page

White paper, with tips, of Gold, nothing, to display

I wonder, where the words are, what, I so, can read

I sit there so, in silence, hardly, Heart, does breath

I lean, now to my table, one, sitting, next to chair

So elegant, with tip, so fine, my pen, I find, now there

I start, my words are coming, only in my mind

I join them, so together, my story, I will find

I start to write, automatic, write, write, write, away

My White, no longer bare, my pages, words, I share

I brush the curl, from off my face, the one, my bun, let, slip

I finish off, with words, The End, put down, pen with tip

I start again, to read my book, wow, this stories, good

Let me finish, the last page, I’ll share, words, understood

There we go, I place it down, on my table, near

Stay with me, I’ll tell you all, the story, I hold, dear

It begins, my child, you’ve heard, my words, tell now, so to all

It tells of me, at Five years old, off to school, stand tall

The morning bright, the birds, do sing, I trail, the leaves, that hang

Holding, so my Sister’s hand, we skip, we hop, loud bang

The middle so, I’m taller now, my hair, spiked, so with gel

Lip gloss, placed upon my lips, cheap perfume, pungent, smell

The end, some Grey, with head of curls, few lines, too show, my growth

What this book as taught me, my life, I’m blessed, so much

I ask you all, today, take a moment, still

Take a look, now, at, yourself, with your light, lit dim

What would, you say, to you, what words, do come, to mind

Just you, no one, is there, with you, treat, yourself, with, kind

Tell yourself, your beautiful, watch your smile, now show

Feel your light, within, your Heart, come alive, see, glow

Pat yourself, upon, your back, tell yourself, your proud

Feel inside, how you, now feel, your centre, now is, ground

Tell yourself, I love you, wrap your arms, give hug

Keep rocking now, side to side, hold on, Heart, feels, tug

How are you feeling, I’m sure, you feel great

Tell yourself, what you deserve, before, it is, too late

I write each day, I share with you, words, from, my inner self

Everything, flows, through my mind, my Heart, feels love, as well 

I take each word, each beat, of love, configure, stories well

Into my mind, my Heart, my Soul, my world, you do join, now

I like you, read others work, join in, so their world

The one, where words, expressed, by them, written, voice, be heard

I’m captivated, by their work, appreciate, words, share

Understanding, how they create, the beauty, written, with care

So many words, flow through this world, how many, can you, catch

If you were, to create, a piece, how many words, would match

Place them, all together, go on, start so, your words

Each of us, does have a voice, let others, join your world

Your Wish Becomes A Miracle

How precious are our rainbows, that dance, within the skies

Colours, arch, erected, pure hope, our sight, set high

Trails, of bright, so pretty, reflect so, against, the sun

A wish be made, so many, send wishes, perfect One

Your wish, captured, it floats, along, the colours, many so

Up and over, so it floats, to meet, next, end, laid low

Your eyes, then capture, miracle, waiting so, at end

Two wings, spread, forth, to catch, your wish, Angel, your true friend

You watch, the flight, light, through the skies, up, up, up, away

Your wish, so carried, by your friend, secure, on wings, that sway

Heavens gates, so does meet, passes, God, Hands, lay

Your wish, come true, from having Hope, joins, you so, today

The Rain Brings Silence

Tonight, my room is quiet, candles lit, room, round

Fire burning, providing heat, stillness, all around

Cosy, in my comfy chair, cushions, cradle so

Ears, alert, as raindrops fall, hitting, pavements, low

What a sound, pit, patter, as the drops, meet pane

Filling so, the puddles, sporadic, down the lane

Just a little wind, be heard, creating, waves, in rain

Watching, as my window pass, the rain, it pours, insane

I close my eyes, so slowly, take in a breath, of deep

Silence in my mind, pure bliss, the one found, in perfect, sleep

So relaxed, I snuggle, comfort,  felt in my soul

The rain is more than weather, it makes me, feel whole
