I take a walk within the woods, to feel the peace within
Underneath a big oak tree, a wooden bench I see
Over now I go and sit, my sandwiches on my lap
Listening to noises all around, release my bottle cap
Around I hear the birds now sing, the insects scurrying leaves
Then I hear a running, a deer is passing me
Meowing coming from the left, a black cat there too see
Clicking fingers too call out, black cat now joins me
Hours pass, cat a purr, settled on my knee
Taking in a mental picture, memories I will keep
When returning too my room, out I take my book
In it I will fill the page, my day within the woods
