I’m sitting in my comfy chair, the fire is burning so
Cup of tea beside my chair, telly to watch show
Ones I love surrounding me, if I need a chat
I’m so very lucky, I have this all right now
I have stairs to climb to bed, a toothbrush in the sink
I have a bed, with pillows plump, a duvet covering me
I have my husband by my side, my son in the next room
I’m so grateful all I have, my heart it feels full bloom
Then I think of others, no chair upon to sit
No money to buy tea to drink, no other do they meet
No bed too lay their head, only a shop door
It makes me realise much more, I’m grateful for it all
