Ignore Your Ego Poem

Whoever said these words to you, you will not now achieve
Whoever told you to give up, your dreams, do not believe
Whoever told you, your fight, it is too much
Whoever told you, don’t meet your friends for lunch

Whoever told you, your not perfect as you are
Whoever told you, your steps not take you far
Whoever took away, that little bit of hope
Whoever told you, your courage, words not spoke

Whoever told you, that yourself, it does not glow
Whoever told you, your light, it as less hope
Whoever told you, that your challenges, defeat
I’ll introduce the person now, yourself, you do now meet

The whoever in our lives, is our egos taking hits
Trying to convince our true selves, our goals we’ll never meet
Our egos are our biggest fight, our egos tell us lies
So now you know, go live your life, ignore your egos lies
