Press the switch of light poem

When we were young and innocent, our imaginations they would roam
The fears we called our monster, who resided underneath our bed
We asked our light to be left on, so the monster would go away
We could sleep again quite happily, our imaginations free again

The monster which I write about, were the fears we held inside
We bring to them life again, within our adult life
We never put the light on now, as fear of weakness it feels to us
But as a child we asked for this, to keep the light in us

I tell you all, please press that switch, the light returns in you
It places hope on all your fears, shuts out the darkness too
It doesn't show a weakness, it only shows your strength
You want your fears to leave your life, peacefulness returns again

You are no different now from when, you was a child small
Yes you've grown up, but what the hell, the fears they still come to all
So take what works, it always will, the light in you is God
He's showing you to keep the light, is the strength he's given you

Love, light and healing energies to you all
