All day long I hear these words, you must now let it go
See your journey is there for you, but the past it has to go
You can keep on walking further, but your past will hold you back
You cannot go into the light, if there is darkness still in you
You cannot truly be who you are, till your ghosts are laid to rest
How can you make room for new, if the darkness it will take
You will not see clearly, the gifts within your heart
So I say to you just leave the past and continue on your walk
Now you have shown acceptance, your speaking now to God
Your showing him your ready, your trusting in his light
You have now accepted, the changes that appear
Your faith is now one with God, watch your darkness disappear
I know those three words sound easy, but believe me it is hard
To let go of everything, where does your life now start
This is where your faith comes in, your trusting in the Lord
To give you wings to help you fly, so your true life comes around
