My Jar I Place

I catch One silent tear, my palm it sits, I observe

Placing within an empty jar, the lid secured

I catch another, this time a sob, my palm, many drops

My jar I place, the lid secured, I sit, I observe

Uncontrollable, my tears fall fast, streaming, palms full

My jar I place, the lid secured, half full, I watch with quiet

The tears will not stop, free flowing, not held back, waves

My jar I place, the lid secured, I study, I question, I ask

With each tear that fell, the pain, hurt, intense, I now see 

My palms welcomed each time, not ignored, loved

My jar before, safe, secure, my tears stay, I look closer

There is no movement, just a presence, a silence, a still
