Each Piece Provides The Answer

I take a piece of my jigsaw, I look closely

I don’t understand, no meaning, confused

I pick another piece, the same, no clue

Another, the same response, what shall I find

I collect more, ever more confusing, no idea

I keep gathering, a handful, plenty, no closer

I’m getting overwhelmed, I keep going

I can’t give up, am I close, my answers come

Something then happens, I stop, no struggle

I take each piece, I join, add together, clearer

I understand, there all along, I need the whole 

Before, myself emerging, my prayers answered
