Another Day

I write about my day, early start, the birds sing

Commute, time so fast, I’m hot, tired, bothered

All day the phone, non stop, chat away, exhaust

Noise, so much, overwhelm, headache, hungry

Non stop, no time, chasing, fast paced, thirsty

Home, commute, heat, weary, ankles swollen

No time to think, no space, skipped meals

Dehydrated, I ache, alarm set, another day before

I may have felt all these things, along with frustration

I long for time, my time, my stillness, in nature

I stop, I think, I’m blessed, today, I’ve experienced these things

I smile, tomorrow as the birds sings, If breath I take, another day
