We each resemble a flower, starting out as just a seed
We need the light within us, water brings our life in thee
We need a little love and for someone to take care of us
We need someone to place us in their home, to watch and protect us
As we start to grow, our little sprouts will suddenly appear
We are starting to transform into what we will become
Our petals form, our colour bright, love is who we are
We are now someone's pride and joy, as their day we do light up
We will continue too grow so tall and grand, proud of who we are
And in return we'll stay with you, bringing love into you home
When others come to visit you and they come over to take a look
I will stand in all my glory and show how your love has helped me grow
