Next time you see a butterfly, settled there by thee
Observe the colours on its back, and the beauty there to see
What started off as a life ,within a cocoon to keep it safe
As transformation of its life, took place there every day
It could not fly or spread its wings, as transformation was incomplete
It couldn't show the world itself, as all it wanted to bring was a whole
So the butterfly stayed where it was, as the work within evolved
To create one of perfection, too share this with the world
Our life's the same as above, but we do not have a shield
We have to live the life we have, tested through our trials
But what we learn as we carry on, our strength we all do gain
To show the world our transformation, and how we learnt to live again
We knew we could not stay, where we have always been
We wanted to grow our wings, and also take the flight
Into a world where our beauty's shared, for all the world too see
We now resemble the butterfly, nestled there by me
