My eyes not bear to be open, the world too much
If I open them, I see pain, hurt, tears, heartbreak
Do I have to stay shut off forever, until calm comes
How long will I have to wait, Will it arrive, with Hope
Will I remain asleep, never knowing a world of Peace
Hearing the laughter fill this world, tears dry, no pain
I pray each day, when that day comes I see a world with peace
My eyes again released, open
