I prayed each night for a gift, my hands they were clasped tight
I placed a light around my prayer and placed it up to God
I asked him please bring to us, a heart that beats so small
I told him that we loved him so, we will help his life too grow
I spoke too God of smiles we’ll give, I said we’ll wipe his eyes
I told him we will rock him every night, in his cradle high
We’ll be there so very proud, his first steps he will take
I promised too support his parents, so they can have a break
I promised we would create memories, the ones placed in his heart
I told God he’ll be treasured, from the very start
I then waited patiently, last year God gave too us
A beautiful Gift called Albie, God gave our wish too us
