Angels Of The Peace Poem

Waking up this morning, the ceiling I do see
A sheet of white, so empty, blank canvas greeting me
I still my mind of any thoughts, inside, feel only peace
Then they start appearing, come here, see what I see

One pops up, a Yellow spot, Blue appears now too
Red is in the centre, Purple showing through
Orange becomes prominent, Brown I see it grow
Pink it is a blossoming, like the Autumn glow

Dots now growing big in size, silhouettes appear
Gowns of beauty swirling around, no shoes, feet do peer
Giggles heard, throughout my room, sitting up in bed
Out comes a hand, mine now encase, Angels from my head

With my Angels swirling round, I even take a bow
My dots created from my peace, my Angels have been found
Hours pass, the fun not stops, my peace it does remain
Meeting Angels in the peace, stay this way all day

I’m Thinking Of Others Poem

I’m getting ready to settle down, my cocoa in my hand

I take a look at fire, grateful for warmth around

I’m sitting on a comfy chair, staring at my cat

Inside I’m feeling grateful, I have a lot of that

I know my bed is waiting, a pillow, a pair two

I’m thinking about the others, in cold, hands of Blue

I’m hoping that they’re not alone, their sleeping bag their friend

I hope they’re in a shelter, protected from the rain

I’m thinking about, they’re someone’s child, they also have a name

The streets are where reside each night, I wish them bed the same

I’m hoping that the rain don’t fall, a freeze will not appear

I’m hoping they have had a meal, a smile, a happy cheer 

I can’t believe it’s happening, thousands on the streets

A doorway is their only home, no little luxuries
No conversations passed each day, feeling all alone
I pray each night, they’ll be alright, soon they’ll have a home

Kneeling by my side of bed, my hands, the two do meet
I’m speaking with my Father, these words I always speak
Please place your light around me, my family, place light to
I ask we are watched over, protected in all we do

I ask my darling Father, please keep us safe and sound
Keep us healthy and so strong, send Angels all around
Hear our prayers so daily, help us understand
So we can grow so much in life, always hold our hand

I ask my darling Father, if tears should leave our eyes
Please wipe them with your fingertips, help bring out our true smile
I ask if we have worries, our fears consume our day
Please walk your steps beside us, take all our pain away

I thank my darling Father, for listening to my prayers
I thank him for his love and light, to keep my family safe
I thank him, for just listening, a promise never broken

Looking into mirror, my face of pale I see
Porcelain and dainty, a freckle nose meets me
Lashes curled with thickness, cheekbones admiring so
Then I see my own true light, white and all a glow

Long blonde hair a trailing, over shoulders drape
I spot a new addition, inside I’m feeling great
Around I turn, I take a look, a smile emerges me
There upon my shoulder blades, two wings have now joined thee

I open up, the span so wide, like my smile, from cheek to cheek
I’m standing really tall right now, so glad, my wings fit me
I’m ready now to take full flight, God’s given, by two hands
So I can soar within the sky, experience all his lands

Out I go, soar through the sky, the air within each breath
I’m looking at the world as one, I see all human race
I fly in sync with all the birds, dancing here with me
We share the world from this great height, our wings brought this for thee

Laying in my backyard, looking at the stars
Twinkles between the blackness, clouds like candy floss
Each one unique, it’s own true light, each one shines brightly so
Each resembles me and you, this I truly know

We each inside do glow away, our hearts they're filled with love
Each breath we take, our purpose, sent from up above
Our little words that float from mouth, touch another soul
Our smiles when shared with strangers, make them less alone

Our tiny hands, they capture all, they stroke our pets with love
They’re draped around our children, to show them they are loved
A wave can do magnificent things, a gesture of hello
A wave when shared with everyone, helps this world to grow

Our smiles be seen by everyone, lights up another’s day
When shared around, helps send away, the worries of today
Smiles are seen as precious, they show our very soul
They’re with you when you take first cry, so beautiful when your old

I take a trip down memory lane, I take your hand with mine
Off we go to conker pick, many trees we climb
Down the hills we tumble well, laughing all the way
Munching on green apples, fallen on ground, now stray

Collecting twigs we build a den, a sheet to build our roof
Fishing in the little pools, tadpoles one or two
Hide and seek, so much fun, giggles can be heard
Sipping lemonade, slurp, slurp, burps create a burst

Home again, we settle down, a family game we have
Everyone together, eating snacks as well
Stories shared at bedtime, little chats begin

My Memories In The Meadow Poem

Waking up this early morn, my arms they reach up high
Duvet thrown away from me, out of bed I climb
Tiptoeing across floorboards, the bathroom I do meet
Face all scrubbed, my curls tied up, my tummy food it needs

Downstairs, I throw some eggs in pan, to lay upon my toast
Coffee brewed, nice and hot, extra left to roast
Up I get to face the day, excited for what I’ll see
Wellies on, my winter coat, scarf now draping me

Down the path, gate I push, mud my wellies meet
On I trudge, I meet now grass, glistening for me
Further, further on I walk, steep hill I conquer well
At the top I meet a view, I’ll share with you all now

Miles and miles of laden Greens, horses galloping so
Hedgerows are in their full plush, homes to hedgehogs now
Rabbits Grey, some are Brown, dancing all around
Everything is peaceful, silence is the sound

Hours pass the evening draws, I make the journey home
Throwing off my wellies, my dressing gown now worn
Settled by the fire, memories of the day
Sipping my hot chocolate, I thank God for today

Fire crackling, centrepiece, warms the whole room through
Dim lit lamps are dotted, small table, sporting brew
Mat of twirl, takes centre stage, an armchair inviting so
Slippers warming by the fire, book laden, words I know

Down I sit, my shoulders draped, with blanket, tartan checks
My legs curled up, nice and snug, sipping brew on break
In fire look, the flames a blaze, Red and Orange too

I started on a journey, many years now passed

I understand the meaning, of what life is about

I’ve faced a many trial, walls ahead been climbed

Looking out my window, window seat take pew
Everything amazing, beauty of my view
Everywhere is covered White, crisp as crisp can be
All around is glistening, the rays of light, meet me

There within the distance, high within the sky
The sun it is a shining, lighting up all life
Touching tips of golden leaves, grasses shimmer so
Today I see our perfect world, alive and full of glow

Running through the grasses, tiptoeing every blade
A brown hare is a playing, capturing morning haze
Then I spot a beauty, it’s fur as soft can be
A deer sporting big Brown eyes, lashes flutter endlessly

Miles and miles, my eyes do scan, this endless sheet of White
Winter bringing differences, spotted in the light

Underneath the Christmas tree, little parcels glisten
Surrounding all the empty rooms, Christmas carols, listen
Holly wreath upon front door, decorate complete
Little snowflakes start to fall, what amazing treat

Turkey aromas fill the air, mince pies, the fillings ooze
Table laid with the best crocks, candle harbour choose
Christmas crackers, each served as one, make a noise of bang
Christmas stockings, near open fire, cheerful they do hang

Knock on door, not one but two, open here I see
Standing in my doorway, my family here with me
Welcome in, hugs do share, a peck on cheek for each
I’m feeling blessed we are all here, bless my family

The room filled now, with laughter so, the crackers make a bang
Food now gone, tummies full, much mince pies, share around
Stockings down, the children share, the candy sticks inside
I cannot stop my smile so big, I feel alive inside

True meaning this is Christmas, family all around
Filling rooms once empty, laughter now be found
It isn’t what the gifts unfold, it’s being here as one
Christmas is a special time, to share with your loved ones
