Waking up this morning, the ceiling I do see
A sheet of white, so empty, blank canvas greeting me
I still my mind of any thoughts, inside, feel only peace
Then they start appearing, come here, see what I see

One pops up, a Yellow spot, Blue appears now too
Red is in the centre, Purple showing through
Orange becomes prominent, Brown I see it grow
Pink it is a blossoming, like the Autumn glow

Dots now growing big in size, silhouettes appear
Gowns of beauty swirling around, no shoes, feet do peer
Giggles heard, throughout my room, sitting up in bed
Out comes a hand, mine now encase, Angels from my head

With my Angels swirling round, I even take a bow
My dots created from my peace, my Angels have been found
Hours pass, the fun not stops, my peace it does remain
Meeting Angels in the peace, stay this way all day

I’m getting ready to settle down, my cocoa in my hand

I take a look at fire, grateful for warmth around

I’m sitting on a comfy chair, staring at my cat

Inside I’m feeling grateful, I have a lot of that

I know my bed is waiting, a pillow, a pair two

I’m thinking about the others, in cold, hands of Blue

I’m hoping that they’re not alone, their sleeping bag their friend

I hope they’re in a shelter, protected from the rain

I’m thinking about, they’re someone’s child, they also have a name

The streets are where reside each night, I wish them bed the same

I’m hoping that the rain don’t fall, a freeze will not appear

I’m hoping they have had a meal, a smile, a happy cheer 

I can’t believe it’s happening, thousands on the streets

A doorway is their only home, no little luxuries
No conversations passed each day, feeling all alone

Looking into mirror, my face of pale I see
Porcelain and dainty, a freckle nose meets me

Twinkles between the blackness, clouds like candy floss

Waking up this early morn, my arms they reach up high
Duvet thrown away from me, out of bed I climb
Tiptoeing across floorboards, the bathroom I do meet
Face all scrubbed, my curls tied up, my tummy food it needs

Downstairs, I throw some eggs in pan, to lay upon my toast
Coffee brewed, nice and hot, extra left to roast
Up I get to face the day, excited for what I’ll see
Wellies on, my winter coat, scarf now draping me

Further, further on I walk, steep hill I conquer well

Laying under duvet, inside all warm and snug
Only peeping out my locks, my sockets, eyes now struck
My little nose with freckles spread, my tiny lips of red

Focusing, I follow this, not letting out of sight

Standing in the centre, the world, is what I say
I’m grounded by the energy, that flows through me today
My breathing is so slow now, as my eyes, they gently close

My heart is like a rose of red, beating, rhythms love
It is the centre, it is my soul, my inner, there beneath
It radiates a perfect light, white aura, around me seen

Waking up, my eyes I rub, to sweep the night away
Ready for this new day, what will it bring today
Excited in my tummy, grateful for today
I spring from off my mattress, Welcome this new day

Pulling from my wardrobe,  an outfit, suited so
My mind already made up, where today I go
I chuck on baggy cargos, a hoody, completes it well
I pull out boots of walking, I know you’ve guessed as well

Walking over grasses wet, the tip of nose, now moist
Little curls, encase my face, a beanie, keep head warm

Looking out my window, a world of beauty pure
Everywhere inviting, calling out, see more

Today is overwhelming, my human self too much
My thoughts are spinning endlessly, irrational in stuff
I try to take a breath or two, compose internally
Today I’ve let it cause me tears, my draining anxiety

My tummy like machine on spin, my hands are sweaty so
I feel that lump within my throat, need calm, to let it go
My head it is a thumping, inside I’m jittering

When I was a child small, my garden, lazy days

Off I go with picnic packed, singing hymns the same
Little skips, joined by hops, giggles can be heard
Eyes of innocence, see it all, the beauty of Gods world

Leaves on ground, a little crunch, lay crinkled now on ground
Silence floating through the trees, what a perfect sound
Up ahead a little gate, picket in it’s style
In the distance water sounds, I’m nearly there, not mile

Further on my skips do go, a hop now, joins a run
Over grasses soft on feet, feels like cotton wool
Off shoes flick, my socks pull off, the water meets my feet
Around they swirl, in waters warm, silver fishes come meet me

Feet now moving back and forth, flicks of water spray
My tiny hands both clasped real tight, start my words of pray
I ask my father up above, please keep my family safe
Thank you too, for all I have, my memories I will take

Perfection I Have Found Poem

I take one step, or maybe two, turn now into skip
A smile is placed upon my face, happiness within
I feel inside so very light, like a feather floating too
I know my Angels hold my hands, showing I love you

My dress of lace is floating free, like my elevated feet
I feel a presence upon back, I know now, they’re my wings
On I fly, smiling much, my heart it feels alive
My heartbeat sync with my true God, I thank my life, alive

Through the air, my curls are loose, swirling round and round
On I go with open wings, taking all around
Eyes in awe, I catch my breath, my feet slip too the ground
Wings still open on my back, perfection I have found

My View From My Window Poem

Looking out of windows squared, with drapes of colour blue
I notice in the distance, a beautiful scene, so true
I see the branches of the trees, hang to floor so low
With coloured leaves of green and brown, red they also show

I see the sun within the sky, with light it radiates
Touching ground and all inbetween, rainbow, colours creates
I see the flock of a thousand birds, flying to migrate
I even see a butterfly, resting on my gate

I see the dew upon the tips, of every tip so green
I see the rabbits running grass, a memory to be seen
I see the scarecrow standing tall, in fields protect the wheat
Every blink my eyes do bring, I treasure as a treat

I’m Invisible To See Poem

I look into the mirror, I see my Angel face
I see my hair of beautiful blonde, nose my freckles trace
I see my mouth of two perked lips, dimples in my cheeks
I see a face of porcelain skin, great beauty deep within

I look into my lovers eyes, I see a blank of stare
I see him looking straight at me, over shoulder, his eyes care
He doesn’t even spot my skin, appreciate my dimple cute
He doesn’t even know real me, for long, I thought he would

He doesn’t notice the way hair smells, or the cross around my neck
He doesn’t even catch my words, Bordem as taken place
No two words, we do share between, very rarely, now a smile
I always thought that love would be, sincere and worth its while

Climbing up the trunks of trees, swinging from a rope
Spending time in treehouse, friends, your words you spoke
Running through the bluebells, chasing butterflies
Listening to the choo choo train, fast on rails, pass by

Jumping into little brooks, catching tads with nets
Rolling down the hillsides, sunny days well spent
Jumping over haystacks, jump on tractor, fast
Picking out the strawberries, smoothies suit them well

Laying in the fields, staring at the sun
Giggles heard from jokes now told, blessing everyone
Lemonade is slurping, ice creams, flake on top
Playing in the golden stretch, trifles, cherry drops

Making dens, marbles thrown, conkers, now crack loud
Hopscotch played, skipping rope, handstands, do join play
Sliding down a six foot slide, swing is going high
What a joy to be a child, every day a smile

I’m changing so internally, my steps of small, now big
I’m dreaming of my vision, the truth I hold within
I shut out all the sadness, that taunts our broken world
Instead I do share words of love, breaking down the walls

My heart now filled with light of white, I place it on my prayers
With just one little message, I hope your hands, you spare
Inside your cusp, the light will stay, embed within your heart
So you can send it out again, to heal our broken world

One prayer it is so powerful, a few words only spoke
Can heal so much across our world, the light it heals so
Imagine this in millions, our planet we can save

Waking to do different, my mind it boggles so
What is my soul shouting, guiding what to know
I’m looking for experience, something now of new
So I can gain some knowledge, to share today with you

My senses are all heightened, ready for my trip
One where meeting territory, my steps have never been
My head, I feel the currents flow, over scalp they trail
I’m ready now to go explore, I wonder where I’ll sail

Walking far, unknown of path, my soul, my compass so
It’s like my feet already know, the path that I must go
Happenings are not conscious thought, I’m just going with the flow

I’m standing in front of waters, crystal Blue, they glisten so
Waters flowing from great height, powerful and true
They start of building, faster fall, the speed it as no time

Where Do I Find Our World Poem

Which way does the wind blow, where will the sun rays lay
Where do the mountain tops peak, hidden tribes away
Where is the soil fertile, where are oceans flowing clean
Where are glaciers still forming, a home for walrus twin

Where can I find non pollution, no poisoning in air
Where can I feel the untouched earth, fertilisers not found there
Where can I find our paven streets, no blood loss, there is found
Where can I find a piece of earth, unspoilt and pure, around

Where can I find a piece of food, no additive placed there
Where do I find the factories, where the smog it does not bare
Where do I find the grasses green, that feed our animals well
Where do I find a street now bare, our homeless, are safe now

I’m searching far and so wide, the smog it blurs my view
I’m swimming in the oceans, much plastic does swim too
I’m eating each day meal, unsure what else digest
I’m seeing how our animals, created to save time

I’m hearing every minute pass, another crime, shed  blood
I’m losing sight of history, the present filters through
Instead of bare streets, walked upon, each day another lost
Our world we live in present day, destroying all we’ve got

Wellbeing Writing Workshop

I would like to thank all of my readers for your continued support in reading my work.
I have now started a well-being writing workshop within the central library in Coventry city centre.
The workshop is the meeting of like minded people who enjoy the creative expression of writing in all its forms.
It has been created to bring motivation and encouragement to individuals who may already be writing, for individuals just starting to explore themselves through writing or for those already published who would like to share their experiences.
All Welcome and if you wish to share your own work the opportunity is there to recite your work to an audience.

Off To Skies Of Blue Poem

Sitting on my window ledge, looking out at view
Grasses Green are covering, skies are solid Blue
Trees are dotted all around, flowers also free
Looking at this perfect view, perfection here with me

Then a sight does come to eyes, colours on display
Two wings fluttering, outside pane, Blues and Emeralds lay
Then the flutter it does stop, rests gently on the ledge
Peacefulness does come with this, I’ll carry on the rest

We sit and join for hours, a pane of glass divides
My tiny fingers do reach up, presses against life
Both together, breaths in sync, not one of us does move
My time here with my butterfly, keeps the peace, a groove

Then a movement does occur, a tiny flap, then two
Up it goes my special friend, off to skies of Blue
What I’ve learnt from this all, time it did stand still
Time spent here in nature, brings the perfect peace

My Words With God Poem

Every time my eyes do wake, I always speak with God
I ask him place a light of white, around all those I love
I also ask him do the same, for all who walk this earth
Keep all safe, protected, I trust in God’s own words

I ask his darling Angels, to also walk with us
I ask them guide our precious life, watch all that we do
I ask them watch our precious ones, keep them safe and sound
I ask them give us strength and hope, wrap their wings around

I ask our Guardian Angels so, to reassure us every day
Every time we say a prayer, send them straight away
Standing close beside us, always hold our hand
I trust in Gurdian Angels, forever our best friends

The Wings Upon Your Back Poem

I hear within the distance, my name is calling so
Unsure of where the words do flow, I walk to say hello
I walk for many minutes, a white light does meet me
I hear the voice again calling, shouting out to me

I keep my steps a walking, but the owner, voice not found
I even stop my walking, no noise, not even sound
I hear again in distance, my name it sounds so sweet
I even hear a harp playing, echoed by the trees

My mind now puzzled by it all, but further I do walk
I’m following the perfect voice, calling name with love
I think I may have met it so, no one is there to see
The voice is so enticing, I keep on following

My walk now turned to hour, no one as shown to me
Then I see a tree in front, white blossoms do sport thee
Underneath I settle down, softly on the ground
Then I hear the voice again, echoed all around

Sitting still I sit in hope, awaiting to meet thee
The voice within the treetops, now whispering to me
Don’t worry, now the voice does speak, your life it is on track
If in doubt, just open up, the wings upon your back

I’m Walking Down An Open Road Poem

I’m walking down an open road, unsure of where to go
I’m all abit confused right now, will this path help me grow
I look to right and then to left, I’m even looking back
But my feet stay,  just where they are, forward only track

On I go and persevere, I see a wall of high
I’m standing looking up at it, my heart it heaves a sigh
I can’t go through, under not, over I must go
Inside my nerves are rattling, inside is fear and doom

Sweat now forming on my brow, my feet, they start to move
Up I go still trembling, unsure of what to do
Do I drop now to the floor, turn back and run away
This to me no option, I’ve come such a long way

On and on, half way I meet, my need to carry on
Nearly there, just one more step, the top now there on show
Here now goes, my final step, settled now on top
In I breathe, to take in view, higher perspective now I’ve got

From top of wall, my view now clear, an open road for me
Down I jump and see a door, waiting there for me
Up I go and turn the knob, inwards I do go
Another stage to grow in life, is waiting there I know

My Adventures As A Child Poem

When I was a child so small, everything to see
Everything adventure, climbing house in tree
Everything so magnified, everything so magic
Life I saw as child, beautiful and free

Noise in head had not emerged, carefree is what I felt
Everything was so much fun, conckers pick of ground
Chasing rabbits, grasses green, jumping high, catch fly
Watching how the wings do fly, of birds now flying high

Running sands, toes dipping, laughing, waves do curl
Sitting making shapes and names, fingers sand they curl
Jumping over haystacks, rolling down the hills
Picnics in the garden, lemonade in store

Families cramped in little cars, journeys up ahead
Fairground rides, a screaming, handstands on my head
Jumping through the puddles, feet now soaking wet
Making men from snow outside, carrots, nose I get

I could go on for hours, a child such fun I had
Grown up I feel much heavier, worries I now dread
If only for a second, my inner child does show
I’ll play within the bluebells, forgetting all my woes

Sitting on a mountain high, the wind my hair does blow
Looking into skies of blue, cloud formations show
Nothing around for miles, below all things so small
Sitting on my mountain top, myself now feeling tall

My life not easy, never smooth, I existed no one knew
I walked around so lonely, Unsure of what to do
Everything a whirlwind, time it never stopped
But sitting on my mountain, my lessons brought this lot

Yes life it was so daunting, sometimes my feet felt stuck
But on I climbed each passing day, never giving up
Fight I did, I would not stop, whatever life dealt me
I found the courage deep inside, to find the real me

Sitting on my mountain top, inside I’m feeling proud
Looking at my life right now, feeling all around
Breathing now, I take in slow, thankful for it all

Roaming through our many streets, sometimes I do nod
Sometimes my hand sends a wave, someone who knows not
Sometimes I will show a smile, words hello I speak
I even say some words need hear, those upon the streets

Kindness it does cost nothing, time consumes it don’t
All it takes is what’s in heart, shows others who you meet
Hope you give now freely, makes the day now of another
It may be someone you don’t know, could even be your mother

It doesn’t matter who it is, but it means so much to them
Your kindness does move mountains, helps them find their strength

Wishing Our Lives Away Poem

Waking nice and early, alarm clock ringing so
Up I jump, to face the day, a bus to catch or two
Gulping down my breakfast, coffee drunk, still hot
Make up placed upon my face, no hair time, just a bun

Looking at my brown strapped watch, satchel over back
I’m running now to catch my bus, my mind is stressing now
On the bus I check the time, wishing not be late
Thinking bout my busy day, lying just ahead

In to work I do go, the phone already rings
Computer open, start my work, another pile it brings
Lunch time near, my tummy noise, I’m ready for my break
Just for 5, I catch my breath, short in peace It makes

Afternoon, the hours pass, my brain no time to think
No time to pause, to take a pew, my brain now hurting
Checking on the time on watch, day it nearly ends
Alarm goes off, it’s time to leave, to catch my bus again

Two hours commute, traffic stuck, I’m conscious of the time
Home I get to start again, a meal prepare or two
No time there still to stop in tracks, washing up to do
I’m checking on the time again, still so much to do

Watch shows 10, must go to bed, before my my day again
My mind still buzzing from all rush, I’m anxious, not to say
I do the thing I know will help, I meditate, hands clasp
Seeing all my heavy pass, my mind is perfect now

Suppose what I am trying to say, your life works this way too
Looking at the time each day, as task is brought to you
Rushing so from place to place, no room to feel such peace
But sadness comes in all of this, wish life away, no ease

I sit within the middle of floor, the centre where I’m knelt
My mind now full of nothing, each breath is so relaxed
My eyes now shut, my lashes lay, I feel my tired eyes
Melt within the warmth of peace, worries passing by

My mind not thinking troubled times, no fear consumes my soul
I’m ready now too feel release, of ego taking hold
I’ve opened up my beating heart, no pain inside is felt
Only love so full of light, waiting to shine now

Nothing now is stopping, from ideas, of popping new
Nothing to cloud judgement, in decisions I may choose
Everything so focused, everything so clear

My strength Gives Others Hope Poem

I look around my world today, everything confuse
I’m taking steps of new each day, fear my body choose
I’m trying to keep my head up, focus much as can
But every day, even though I’m scared, I know my steps will tell

I chose a different path to take, one I’ve never stepped
A different thing to learn each day, helping human race
Inside my stomach somersaults, a little dread I feel
But courage I have found inside, to help others heal

This journey yes is part of mine, the plan ahead for me
Is showing others of my strength, to see their trials real
My empathy there on display, my ear for them a rock
So for now, I must overcome, to help other lives take stock

I know myself not let them down, rely on me they do
To give them hope in times of dark, to help them make it through
