I’ve gone about my day today, my eyes attract those need
The people who are vulnerable, magnet unto me
I sit and listen to words shared, each story, searching hope
My answer that does pass my lips, before a light, now slope
I’ve given to them guidance, a little helping hand
To take a step to find themselves, their eyes now scan around
I know what they are following, their eyes the light does meet
Before I see a brilliant white, a glow surrounding thee
The smile I did not see before, finally starts to show
The figure hung, head down low, as learnt to rise again
They seem now oh so peaceful, agree to meet again
I watch them leave, but they look back, a wave they send my way
