My True Angel

An Angel spoke this morning, An Angel with a face, full of love, empathy

An Angel with a message, bandaging another person, wounds, healing the pain

An Angel sharing words, of Hope, love and strength, their light, bearing heat

An Angel convinced in her words, the love, light and healing, to share

An Angel, kind, a face of beauty, her words, rehearsed, share Faith

An Angel, sitting, surrounded by her family, who she brings everything

An Angel, I’ll share her with you, she has prayers for everyone and all

My Daughter, full of love, light, Hope and Faith, my true Angel

My Day At Horsey Beach

Walking the Golden Sands on Horsey beach, the wind, not gentle, so alive

The curl of White waves, merged between the Blue oceans, with Black, a bobbing

Two Black eyes, portraying a beautiful face, with delicate whiskers either side

Their silken bodies, entwined between the Blues and White, the snap of each camera 

My family, generations, walking against, the sprays of the sea, mistaken for rain

Holding hands, laughing, building sandcastles with tunnels, awaiting, the oceans to fill

Oh no, a wave caught my Son, wet feet, screaming with laughter, a memory, not forgotten

A shopping bag, replaced from food, now stones and rocks, many sizes and colours

The drive home, the sea salt laden on the strand of each hair follicle, the tips of fingers, dry

The Fish and chip shop, calling, begging us to enter, the smell enticing our noses

Food in bags, drive home, tummy rumblings, table laid, wow, full, content

What a day with my beautiful family, a day with the seals, a day with many memories

Oh How I Wish

Oh, how I wish, I wish, I could write, when my eyes open

That first light, through the curtain, the first bird song

Oh, how I wish, I wish, I could write, at the hour off lunch

That bite into my sandwich, the crumbs falling, as I write away

Oh, how I wish, I wish, I could write, as the sun does fall

Hidden behind a cloud, symbolising, evening come

My meal, sitting in my tummy, all content, like me, write away

Hot chocolate made, marshmallow added, my words, flowing 

Oh, how I wish, I wish, snuggled in my bed, dimly lit room

My book, many a White page, I long to fill, with words

I dream, I wish, I pray, one day, from first light, first star

I will write, no interruptions, time, freedom, to write, write away

Today I Will Fly

Opening my front door, the wind blows, gently close

I stand within front garden, the gentle breeze, touch nose

My arms, up high, I place them, pointing to the skies

Eyes now closed, a magic wish, open wings, now fly

Off I go, I’m flying, through the air, in flight

Fingers embrace, the fluffy clouds, fly, through Blues of bright

I don’t know where I’m going, where my feet will stand

It doesn’t matter, I’m in awe, exploring Gods true land

I feel alive, pure freedom, no, stop sign in sight

The open air, vast and vast, surround, by perfect light

I’ll stay a little longer, use the wings upon my back

If I should tire, as the stars shine bright, my feet will land on track
