You Have Your Own Light

If I was a little light, would you follow me

Would you move your steps little, to see where light leads thee

Would you stand in just one place, reach out your hands, try reach

Let you now decide, what’s best, my light is calling thee

My light is getting brighter, I can spot you coming forth

I’m resembling a lighthouse, your steps are coming more

I wonder what your thinking, as your steps you have moved so

What is it your looking for, why do you come, light glow

My light you see, can be a Million things, Hope you now do see

It’s given to you Faith in you, to move your steps to me

Your travelling so, ahead unknown, still you carry on

Each day you have your own true light, there to guide you on

Let Your Tears Flow

If tears should ever leave your eyes, my hands will catch them so

I’ll treat them with such delicacy, place in centre Rose

I’ll slowly close the petals, like the stroke of Angels Wing

I’ll soothe the pain, inviting so, hear now Angels sing

I’ll comfort so your tears, understand what pain they feel

Not ignore, the hurt they feel, understanding they are real

I’ll give them so a confidence, to just let go, show care

Your tears are so important, they heal, what is felt there

My time is done, your tears flow back, into your hands they lay

Slowly your petals do unfold, your tears come by, say hey

Your tears now strong, great courage, they thank, for letting go

Next time if your tears should fall, allow them to just flow

Inside The Light Is Bright

I’m sitting in the still, no noise, my hands of Two in prayer

I speak now to my Father, the one who’s always there

I ask him just one question, I wait for answer so

Then my eyes do notice, the droplets of the snow

A smile emerges on my face, my question answered so

I asked my Father up above, bring light to all with snow

I go outside, the snow does fall, onto every part of me

Alive, I am now feeling, you go out and see

The light the snow brings with it, will turn our lands so White

This evening when it does turn dark, our world will still look bright

I suppose what I am saying, in darkness, found is light

Inside we always have snow drops, show others, perfect sight

Let Your Tears Go

A many tear I’ve cried, how could I track them so

From the moment of my birth, through growing, adult now

My tears not be forgotten, they’ve given me much strength

I wonder, how I can show you all, my tears I have wept

I wonder, if I take some balloons, fill with all my tears

The ones that so have wet my face, so many over years

My balloons now full, I tie the end, I send them on their way

The sky now full of colours, too many, now to say

I wonder, if I dig a hole, a river, ocean be

Place my tears inside the hole, my tears you will see

I never realised, start out, my hole I’ve dug so deep

My tears too much for river, so oceans it will be

I share with you my tears, show I’m human, like yourself

Yes, I do have Angels, God, he speaks out loud

My tears are so much part of me, release what needs to flow

Place your tears, where they need to be, let your tears go

Today is one of Sunday, it is your day to rest

Don’t worry about, the list of thing, take time, they’ll come out best

Put on your kettle, boiling, sit down, take sips of tea

Dunk your favourite biscuit, breath now so gently

Read your favourite newspaper, or catch up on your book

Let someone else peel potatoes, carry on with lunch

Try on your latest makeup, look through your wardrobe so

Make everything so effortlessly, take today as slow

Think just now, how do you feel, your breathing as now slowed

Heaviness upon shoulders, nothing now does show

Give yourself this day of rest, to totally rejuvenate 

Tomorrow is a new day, your list of chores can wait

Looking out my window, everywhere, so White

The snow is gently falling, everywhere, so bright

Nothing now looks the same, transformed it so to new

Yesterday, I saw all things, today the White comes through

Our lives the same, as snow falling, ourselves conceal so much

A layer of mask, for no one see, we carry on, have lunch

Our outer self, it makes us be, who others think we are

We have so much internal,  it’s where we store our scars

To know someone, their very soul, this not found on outside

Go within and hold their hand, comfort if tears cry

Each soul, it has much healing, we all have thing, let go

I Still Create Words

As a child small, on my tummy, lay, long time

Both my legs are tucked, like plait, upwards, in a line

My favourite thing in all the world, is write my day away

Words would flow, my hand reach out, hold them, have a say

Nothing would distract me, no noise around I heard

My words I kept on writing, my story so unfold

I’d write about the Bluebirds, that sat within the tree

I’d write about the Honeysuckle, always Yellow See

Hours would pass, the day away, myself sat in the peace

Me, my book, my biro pen, my mind adventures see

I wouldn’t change a single thing, my childhood was great

An adult now, my tummy, lay, my words so still create

In My Minds Journey

I take a stroll today, only in my mind

Off I go, I’m travelling, where now will I find

I see before, inviting, Golden sands call out to me

Looking at my feet now bare, a sarong of colours see

On I walk, the warm sands hit, my toes they start to heat

Sitting now, by waters edge, my fingers, touch wet sweet

Knees now tucked, into my chest, my eyes they watch the Blue

Coming in, with strength, a wave, calming, to the smooth

Laying now upon my back, stare up into the sky

The clouds resemble candy floss, floating now, not high

I lay like this for hours, my ears, hear gentle noise

The wind, so gently, blows through palm, the trees, now have a voice

I know I’ve got to leave soon, my mind needs busy so

Being human, I have my list, of many jobs to do

It makes me sad, my life by time, in still, not long can stay

Tomorrow, I’ll be back again, my mind will lead the way

If I had A Thousand wishes, I would now take only One

I’d wish upon a prayer right now, my love will be so strong

I’d wish your life be full of peace, your worries so be eased

Your inner child, you’ll see again, to have now and to hold

I write a scroll today, on cloth that does look aged

I have my Red sash ready, to seal and to send

I dip my pen tip into ink, I listen very clear

The messages I do receive, remembered, for many years

I start my pen a moving, faint strokes, my words, end curl

I write about our present day, the world now as a whole

I write about the pain right now, how the light will save it so

No more will be sadness, instead our world will glow

I write about the difference now, how will our world become 

How we sent our prayers each day, to help light so to come

How our Faith be tested, how our strength, helped make it through

None of us so giving in, our prayers, our wish come true

Years, years, years from now, when others read this scroll 

Generations, yet be born, will learn, the light, the glow

They’ll read how we did so survive, how our prayers, brought to us light

What it leaves is a legacy, to help future ones, hold tight

How many times have you felt, a gentle stroke upon your face

It’s brought to you a comfort, no one there, no trace

You’re all alone, a presence you feel, you hold onto the touch

To you it feels familiar, it brings a love to you

How many times have you heard, someone, call out your name

You look around, you’re all alone, together, feel the same

You place your arms around you, hug yourself, so very tight

This voice it feels familiar, it fills your soul with light

How many times have you felt your gut, speaking out to you

Stronger it does grow by day, can’t see, but understood

You now go inner to find it, never do give up

This feeling is familiar, it brings you dreams of Hope

This Feeling of familiar, you’ve had it all life through

It is your Guardian Angel, communicating with you

My Childhood With Words

When I was a child, my dreams were same as now

Skipping happily upon my walk, my words I would shout out

I sang the words, my mind sent me, they wouldn’t go away

I happily accepted them on each walk, memorise, words say

Quickly eating dinner, my cheeks, the pouches bulge

Rushing upstairs, jump on my bed, my words I will indulge

Taking my note paper, as I lay upon my tum

A little curl, does sit, forehead, my words, they still do come

Legs are curled, my ankles crossed, my pen within my mouth

A Story now emerging, it starts with a Brown cow

I hear the jingle of the bell, placed around its neck

My imagination, it was so very great, I’ll stop now for a break

Slurping on hot chocolate, my Mother had brought to me

Sitting on the side of plate, a cracker, with some cheese

Slowly rolling over, wipe my curl away by hand

I carry on with my story, my cow, in magic land

My little yawns a starting, my lashes blinking fast

I know I am exhausted, I know I cannot last

I kick off now my slippers, tuck myself into my bed

I hope you liked my story, tomorrow I’ll finish rest

If I had an Artist pallet, a paintbrush in my hand

My paper, White, upon my easel, solid wooden stand

Where would I now so place it, outdoors in the sunshine

Inside my dainty living room, capturing the light

If I had a Quill pen, my fingertips do hold

Open now my pages, of book, complete with Gold

How would I start my story, how would my words present

Would I use some Blue ink, or choose deep Black instead

If I had an open space, so vast, as vast could be

Giving me the freedom, to spend precious time with me

What could my view discover, hold in heart, now so return

No more White Paper, looking blank, I’ve finished Chapter first

So you see what I have shown you, replica so our life

Sometimes we go on searching, but nothing brings us light

If we explore the place, where areas vast, our heart now so alive

Creativity is in all of us, we only have to find

Even little Ants that roamed, felt so big too me

Flowers that were blooming, umbrellas, tips I see

Even little rain drop, a river there for me

Every cloud, within the sky, I thought, they would fall free

My vision, I not understand, a picture, different rest

Why would my eyes capture, a perfect view, the best

Sitting in my armchair, missing so a hug

I’m missing so my family, the ones of perfect love

I’m missing my Two arms, so squeeze, feel connected so

I feel Two Wings, envelope me, whisper, sweet words to me

My Cottage With No Name

I dream of a sweet cottage, I never know it’s name

No number placed upon its door, curtains match the same

Little drapes off checked Blue, White, tied neatly with a bow

The roof of thatched, compliments, the daffodils, garden grow

A tree erect, garden mature, so very, very quaint

I’ve seen this garden many times, first seen, when I turned Eight

This little cottage as been with me, always within my thoughts

I know one day, I will own this, my own key, to the front door

This cottage, garden sitting in, sipping chilled lemonade

I know I’m getting closer, one day I’ll know it’s name

I know when nearing 55, the signs will be so clear

Standing in front of my new home, my heart, it’s name will hear

My Woodland Walk

My eyes wake up, the sunlight shines, through window pane it breaks

Alarm clock made of natural light, my arms a stretch they take

Throwing off my duvet, feet spring to the floor

Out I rush excited, run through my bedroom door

Shower done, my hair tied up, some little curls escape

Throwing on my t-shirt, my skinny jeans look great

Feet embrace my plimsoles, ready for new day

Breakfast ate, off toast and eggs, my coffee, take away

Off I go, unsure where to go, how can I now decide

Do I walk the woodlands, go to the park, treat slide

Do I wander, feed the ducks, or join the beach of sand

I will decide, just give a minute, stay here, find my hand

It’s warm, it’s cool, I hear a crisp, underneath my feet

My fingers now embrace the Greens, the leaves upon the trees

I spot a trail, I join it so, I march with Thousand ants

Then I spot, something of Grey, scurrying on the ground

I know you’ve guessed, it was easy, the woodlands I am so

Watching all the wildlife, some passing me so slow

I meet a stream, with little bridge, over I do meet

Leading me to deeper depths, my woodland, today’s treat

I hope you came and joined me, you watched the ants with me

Your fingers felt the leaves I’ve touched, you noticed all the Greens

I hope your sitting by me, as the waters pass us by

I wonder what tomorrow will bring, if you want, come by, say Hi

I’m sitting here just thinking, not sure now what to write

I’m looking for the words to bring, hope into your life

Externally they not be found, so I go to place I know

I’m now settled in my heart, it’s opened up, now glow

I’ll write the words now waiting so, my fingers scribble so

Once upon a hilltop, high above the ground

Sitting in the centre, Peace it flows around

Climbing up, I meet the sheep, I take in air of fresh

My hill, now top, new view I see, I’ll stay here, write the rest

Tree tops high, the clouds do meet, the sun is shining so

The world illuminated, no darkness, only glow

I hear the birds a whistling, I hear the oceans be

In life so many questions, many answers are searched for

Sometimes life goes smoothly, sometimes our steps are stalled

Sometimes we can feel so high, sometimes we fall to ground

Remember where your steps do walk, God is always found

Never do you give up, our life can change in flash

One minute all will feel so big, next breath, it’s settled down

Always keep your smile on face, no matter how hard it is

You’re not fighting your trials alone, God is there waiting

If life does get too much, stop and take a breath

Put on your walking shoes, outside will be best friend

Do a little something, to shake off the feeling low

Press play on your radio, let your body flow

Anytime you need a boost, a lift me up so need

Think about what you can do, to make you feel happy

It can be something, big or small, not sit, just jump around

Get your energy moving through, light again be found

Childhood Was Simple

I remember as a child, the world was different then

Days were spent, just laze away, no distractions, reared it’s head

A piece of chalk, brought hours of fun, scribble, upon the pavements Grey

There before a numbered sketch, hopscotch, we would play

Congregate, in woodlands so, a packed lunch we so would take

Jam sandwiches, sometimes paste, a currant bun, hot baked

A drink of juice, in plastic, straw stuck so to the side

Secret places we would find,  so no one found, great hide

Climbing up the neighbours tree, take apples, bake a pie

Rat a tat a ginger, banged on the door, then hide

Conkers we would so collect, the string would hang them so

They would bang together, to win, they had to blow

Oh what fun, childhood was, no technology was around

A radio, would sit on drawers, top Ten, on Sundays sound

Everything so simple, everything much ease

Life back then, was so carefree, our only selves to please

Where do I find my words, why come so easily

How can they fill a blank page, for all of you to see

Where do my ideas come from, descriptive so they are

Do they float, throughout mid air, do I search them far

I’ll share with you the wonders, of my writing world

I sit in quiet, I feel much peace, my words they so then herd

They start to come together, create a story from my heart

Now I look, my page not blank, my written word as a start

I see the world in front of me, the Green grasses, my feet tread

I spot the mountain, which snow covered, a Brown bear, snuggled bed

I see the oceans, draped landscapes, like patchwork quilt, create

I write about the Butterfly, who joins me at my gate

So you see, I don’t look far, my words lay within my heart

I do not have to travel far, in quite, words do dart

I have to capture every word, within my tiny hands

Then create a story so, to share throughout the lands

A dream came to me, it woke up with my heart

My Vision I Do Share

Transformation, joins me, in my quiet mind, no sound

I see a vision, a vision so clear, my tiny fingers can touch it

I spot a boulder, no human hands could move, grounded into the Earth 

I see this vision in my meditation, my view expanded, my Third eye awake

Wait, I see movement, my boulder is opening up, inviting me to look

The centre, like a pair of curtains, being pulled away from its join

I look, look, my eyes have spotted something, mid air, floating 

A butterfly centre, a stalk of White, sporting Two translucent wings

Paper thin, with dashes of Faint Blues, Purples and Pinks

Watercolours, dotted upon the Two wings, tiny head joins all things together

I see, see me, my face, my smile, now transformed into a delicate beauty

I turn around, my boulder in same spot, this to as transformed

No longer resembling, the thickness, of a Boulder with height

It appears to be sinking, I hear my own words speak to me

My boulder, thank you for leaving me, I will not be back to join you

I let you go, you can keep all of my tears I have cried, fly, my wings carry me

Your Gift Within The Air

I send you something special, wrapped in something so off White

It is so soft and perfect, radiates with Golden light

My gift it is not big or grand, cost thousand pounds, a No

But the love that went into choosing it, when received this you will know

It doesn’t have a fancy bow, or a little sparkly box

It didn’t drop through your letter box, land on your mat below 

It came to you, when least expect, it drifted through the air

Your hand reached out to grab it, my feather I left there

Fear Does Not Belong

My eyes are getting weary, my lashes start to droop

My head embraces pillow soft, my blanket top, sports loop

I sink into the mattress, feel it envelope all of me

I’m gone, into the land of dreams, God, he does join thee

I meet him at our special place, he sits underneath his tree

I kneel now, to join him so, his hands, lean out to me

I move so slight, side by side, we are, to have our little chats

The branches overflowing, resembling now sun hat

We sit and chat for hours, I ask him how things will be

God turns to me, shush my words, leave everything to me

God sees the confusion in my eyes, my future so unknown

God tells me, fear is just a word, in Faith it not belong

Do you ever feel the sensation, the tingling of your crown

Your hair feels like electricity, flowing round and round

Your scalp, it feels like crawling, like little fingers that massage

What can this be, you think just now, stay here, I’ll explain more

This is your crown Chakra, God is speaking so

Think about your message now, what true words, God now spoke

Attention he is needing yours, what ideas have been in mind

What prayers have you sent out, with answers wish to find

Next time you feel this tingling, sit still, just let it flow

Allow connection with God now, to capture answers know

Don’t try to force, let all flow in, let God now do his work

The feeling is so beautiful, let your tingles grow

One day, let that day be today, that one small thing, something hidden

Something that holds you back, like a stallion, resisting its reigns

Set free, fly, release, the bird, that flies high above the rooftops

The fish that swim in the oceans, vast area to explore 

What, what is so hidden, what lies somewhere so deep, why so shy

Why do those tears fall so silent, with a smile so forced

Go within, go deep, go searching, it’s there somewhere

Hurt, pain, loneliness, a craving for love

Could I take you somewhere, you’ve not been, unknown to us of both

In silence we both go so quite, our eyelids now are shut

Our minds go silent, then feel light, feet gently leave the ground

Our Two wings upon our backs, gently, flapping sound

Up and up, meet skies of Blue, soar in and out of clouds

Swooping down, we grab a branch, swinging round and round

Falling gently to the ground, our feet now meet the Greens

Within the forests, we now walk, feel everything, bare feet

Running strong, we join the sands, warm sands between our toes

Smelling the Blue Waters, scent of salt in nose

We sit on beach, crack coconut, drink the liquid White

Watching by the waters edge, as the waters reflect the light

A Poem I now write, unique to only you

It comes with words you need today, ones that are so true

My words do come with love and light, around you Angels stand

Today you never are alone, your Angels hold your hand

They watch you as your eyes open, cuddle pillow in your bed

They’ve lifted you so gently, supporting so your head

They watch now as you wash your face, reflection mirror so

They watch your smile show upon your face, as you spot your light glow

They sit with you at breakfast, watch you finish coffee cup

They whisper in your ear, go outdoors, get up

They help you pull your wellies on, hold open door for you

They guide you now to beauty, your path they lead you too

They sit with you by Waters, blow gently, feel slight breeze

They think it’s funny to tickle your nose, causing you to sneeze

They wrap your shawl around you, when the air does start to chill

They share their light to guide you home, make sure your safe within

I see a path before us, one where light will shine

I see that joy is coming, Angels, waiting in a line

I see peace will come to join us, we only have to wait

Keep each day, filled with our prayers, God will do the rest 

I see skies becoming clearer, the parting of the clouds

A stream of light, will join us, peace around, surrounds

I see God’s Two Hands a waiting, for all our hands to join

Heaven is so waiting, to heal our broken world

I see hugs and cuddles, laughter so, of loved ones in each arms

I see strength and courage, we now hold, our world of Hope, not far

I don’t know where my words do travel, whose heart they so will touch

What impact will my words of light, stroke your face, slight brush

Sitting at my wooden desk, sat gently upon my chair

My pages blank, my typewriter numb, words I’d like to share

My mind it so is searching, nib of pen upon my lips

How does my story start , make use now of Black ink

Gazing out of window, view, ideas flow to me

Should I start with Butterflies, the ones my eyes now see?

Should I share the view of fields, outstretched, sporting coloured tones?

Do I let you capture now, the light settled on Red Rose

I know, I think, I’ll share it all, my fingers typing so

I’m adding to, the trees so high, draped on top with snow

My eyes, they spot, a snowman built, with coloured scarf so draped

I even write about Robin now, perched on the top of my Brown gate

Wow, my pages, filling up, from such a beautiful scene

If we had an open book, from our breath of first

A Golden pen within our hands, writing every verse

New chapters be completed, each day is captured so

We’d read the paths our feet have trod, how our lives have grown

We can see the times we’ve smiled so, as we’ve skipped throughout the lanes

We can revisit, the places been, our memories words replace

We’d see the times we have felt strong, the rain upon our face

We’d notice how we’ve touched the lives, throughout all human race

We would spot the times, so easily, when our Angels have been so

We’d captures times, our hands in prayer, healing helps so grow

Every challenge, trial been, we read, we’ve made it through

Our life does write, its own true book, it’s title, One called you

Life it keeps us standing tall, also crumpled to the floor

Life itself will always be, bringing new for us to learn

Angels Share My Everyday

Angels in my life, do share each day with me

They join me as my eyes wake up, they chitter, chatter speak

They make me smile, they laugh with me, they also tell me, No

If I decide to walk to fast, miss all their signs to grow

They join me as I work each day, send words of hope to others

They whisper if I miss a sign, a butterfly, wings flutter

They show me numbers, I will know, that guide my path for me

They feel my light within my heart, when they are here with me

My Angels I do share much love, like they do give to me

I always think of their first sign, number 333

I didn’t realise back then, how they would share my life

How they’re always here with me, they keep my light alive

My Worries So Be Healed

I take my little match, watch it burn so bright

I light my candle, now of White, stay peaceful in the night

I place Two hands together, say a prayer to God

I send it with my breath now blown, it travels through the air

I jump into bed, feel now so light, my worries have left me

I think of where they’re travelling, flowing through the trees

I visualise them on a cloud, float now carries on

Up and up, they’re nearly there, in hands of precious one

I know my worries, now have reached, my hands of Father so

I know my worries will be healed, sent back, with light a glow

I close my eyes, I feel much peace, my mind so too can rest

I’ve sent my worries to God above, have Faith, healing takes place

A Story From A Mountain Top

Sitting by open fire, checked blanket, draped over knees

My little book, now open, my pen, fingers caress thee

I don’t know where my story starts, or how it so will end

Here I go, my words do write, I’ll share with you, my friend

I’m writing about my walk to top, on mountain top now sit

The wind is blowing through my hair, my perfect peace retreat

I scan the world far and wide, take all the beauty in

My fingers are still writing so, my story does begin

I look up higher, from where I’m sat, watch birds, fly overhead

I spot volcanos now erupting, flow rivers, Orange, Red

I see Oceans Blue, White waves that curl, the Forests, oh so Green

The view upon the mountain top, a beauty I’ve now seen

The fire crackles, I drape shawl more, my shoulders now it lays

Again I start my writing, my story underway

How does the ending go, stay here, I’ll let you know

My time upon my mountain top, brought words, from view you know

Hope will bring us many things, also peace of mind

My Peace Remains With Me Today

Waking up this morning, I lay in silence so

My breathing slow, my mind no noise, not let this feeling go

I pull my quilt now tighter so, gently around my neck

I’m warm and cosy, look into space, this feeling is so great

I hear the birds a singing, children laughing so

I hear then just a few of cars, pass by my wooden gate

My legs they start a moving, like they want to touch the ground

My quilt, release, on side of bed, I leave not make a sound

Downstairs, fire now blaring through, the kettle, whistle stopped

Pouring in the water hot, into my coffee pot

Toast, now Brown, ready so, I take a bite or Two

Thinking where my steps will go, my gate I will walk through

Hours pass, my home I’ve left, I’ve been on my long walk

The air so crisp, my nose little run, to strangers I have talk

I’ve noticed all the grasses Green, the trees now looking bare

But what I’ve learnt throughout my day, my peace as stayed right there

We’ve been given our Two wings to fly, let yours so open up

Your feet now leave the ground you stand, elevate now to the top

You join a White cloud in the sky, Upon it now you sit

Floating higher, up you go, the gates of grand you meet

Your cloud you leave, your feet on ground, into the gates you go

Waiting there with open arms, your Father standing so

He takes you gently to his place, his bench upon you sit

He whispers words into your ear, the ones your Heart they hit

I don’t know what words, God shared with you, only you know these

Keep them with you every day, they’ll keep your strength in thee

Every time you feel alone, go to your heart, find words

To help you make it through your trials, trust in God’s spoken words

A Year Of New Growth

A New Year as just begun, I wonder what life brings

I’m not going to worry throughout each day, I’ll appreciate new things

I’ll travel so my miles, in steps, also in mind

I’m excited for each day given, for knowledge so to find

This year will give me so the chance, continue so to grow

Steps I haven’t walked before, into the great unknown

I’ll share with all, what I so learn, I’ll send guidance so your way

I’ll treasure rests of Winter, excited for the Spring

Summer will bring great warmth to me, my heart it so will sing
