My Weekends With My Best Friend Poem

My childhood memories, were such fun, smile upon my face
Remembering how my friend and me, ran around and raced
Walk to school, each day we’d chat, our weekends always planned
Going to the crescent, one fifty in our hands

Can of coke, peanuts hard, Cadbury’s were our eggs
Getting lost so many times, in circles full of dread
Evening have a sleepover, sharing single bed
Chatting away for hours, pulling lids of pens

Sitting in her kitchen, Friday night, such high
Watch her sister Norma, spraying her hair, spikes
Cherry B in one hand, eyeliner in the other
Listening to her cool tunes, the 80’s we would hear

How I loved my weekends, tummy always swell
Eating food, made by Rose, Yorkshire puddings, well
Chunky chips and sausage, trifle Sunday so
I treasure all my memories, my childhood did know

My Grandsons Wishing Tree Poem

I spoke to one my Grandson, he shared with me his day
He shared with me on FaceTime, his fun began today
He shared he held his mummy’s hand, a wishing tree they met
His Mummy asked him make one wish, this he shared my way

I wish he shared, my nanny, gran gran, here now by my side
Playing in my garden, joining me on slide
Making mud pies, digger drive, all of us now smile
My Grandson now is looking sad, he asked when his wish, while

My Grandson, looking in my eyes, asked what my wish would be
I told him, I go to wishing tree, please make our world healthy
I told him, I ask everyday, to be back in his arms
A thousand cuddles I will share, our arms never do part

Smiling so, my Grandson asked, what would Gran Gran wish for
My husband looking straight at him, his eyes full of adore
He shared with Grandson, world be well, patience we must keep
Not long now, I’ll be with you, in your garden meet

My daughter shared, our bed he sat, milk and cartoons watched
Waiting to see us again, our pillows he his snug
Mummy he says, miss them so, I want them here with me
Mummy gave him cuddles so, soon they’ll be with thee

My Time Within My Church Poem

I take a little walk today, down the hill I go
Steps not hurried, nice and slow, notice things on show
I see the walkways, paved in Grey, the cobbled walls I pass
I smell the flowers, aromas, see reflection, pane of glass

I notice how I’m walking straight, my head is held up high
Looking into Blue skies, breathing in, feel love inside
All my senses have now peaked, I see and hear new things
Walking in the silence, beautiful, heart sings

I walk to gates, iron of Two, standing, perfect grand
In I go, pass gravestones, placed beneath the ground
Over push, Brown doors open, in I take a pew
In my church, I sit with God, we have a chat or Two

God places arms round shoulders, I lean, on shoulder lay
I hear his words of comfort, I welcome you today
Stay with me my child, share all your prayers with me
I will take them with me, to set your heart now free

I stay like this for hours, in arms I so do stay
I’m sharing all my prayers with God, worries drift away
I know it’s time to leave now, I lift my eyes to God
I thank him for his presence, for keeping my heart strong

Walking home, I bless my time, chatting so with God
Feeling light as feather, I know my prayers he’s got
I’ll wait for soon his answers, for all things he’s blessed
My heart now feeling lighter, my church, with my best friend

I take a walk down cobbled streets, narrow as can be
I smell the buns a baking, in the cafe, see
I look in windows, of shops quaint, something catches eyes
In I go, through door of wood, I share with you my sight

I see a table, antique made, upon lay pile of books
All hardback and leather, their titles, my eyes look
One stands out, it cries my name, willing to be read
I pay for this at counter, ready for my bed

Home I trot, excited tum, my warm milk, now is stirred
On a plate of China, digestives now are stored
Up I go to wooden hill, jump upon my bed
Getting snug, my blankets draped, poking, only head

Page of one, I open up, my eyes scan back and forth
Mesmerised by words I read, put down, not a thought
Half way through, my lids, start droop, my lashes follow too
Giving up, I fall a sleep, my book in dream, now snooze

I’m sitting on my window seat, looking out the streets

Not a person, far and wide, no noise from traffic beat

The only noise I hear right now, the birds are singing so

Bumblebees are flying past, honey for their homes

I spot on ledge a butterfly, come to me, say hi

It’s settled in the still of now, my eyes are mesmerised

My eyes they focus all around, I spot the rays on trees

I count the many flowers, dotted on my street

Enjoying time, cuppa in hand, I’m taking it all in

Watching as the world goes by, perfect in the still

Hearing all, I usually miss, drowned out by the noise

Waking up, my duvet off, my feet now on the floor
Stretching out my arms of two, yearning, bathroom more
Face scrubbed up, cream to lace, my porcelain of skin
Hair now tied up in a bun, let the day begin

Coffee drank, Orange juice, a slice of wholemeal bread
Trainers on to sport my shorts, sun hat, covering head
Off I head, no walk is planned, venture to unknown
A backpack placed upon my back, a pen and book it owns

Walking far, the landscape safe, placed within my heart
Meeting tree of Willow kind, my blanket ground takes part
Settling down, my book and pen, now placed in my hands
Now I start my story, of Gods promised lands

I write about the pathways, laced with colours Green
I share with you the Butterfly, sporting it’s Two wings
I write about the waters sat, as fish meet fingertips
I write about the sun rays, covering all of tips

I write of stillness all around, peace it flows through me
No distractions anywhere, the choir of birds do sing
I write about my presence now, centred in Gods land
I could go on for hours, my walk in peace, words found

Everything is changing, evolving so the world
Everything be different, the human self be shown
Everything start again, like old world erased
Preparing for a new world, one so full of grace

I saw a vision beautiful, Purple butterfly
It’s elegance so stunning, wings, covering worldwide
It’s stillness brought great still in me, during meditate
It brought to me most hopeful, peace for human race

It’s wings of span, so large in size, protecting so they do
It’s feathers like a bed so soft, inviting all of you

I’ve just been sent a photo, one which took today
It is one of my daughter, her son in her arms lays
Both of them fast asleep, on our bed we stay
Both them taking comfort, where we once did lay

Both of them are cuddled up, both of them are snug

I miss them every single day, not minute, they’re in thoughts

God Brought Me Strength Inside Poem

I remember on a winters eve, the blinds of White I see
The tears are rolling down my cheek, praying, Lord help me
Into the sky of Black I stare, one thing left in my sight
A cloud of White all on its own, a message there of light

I recognised, the hand of shape, it was one of my God
A finger pointing upwards, Heaven I’ve now got
Little droplets of the wet, fell off my tiny nose
Then a peace resigned in me, felt warmth within my bones

Getting up, from chair I sat, I opened blinds much more
Staring out the window, I wiped my tears once more
Rubbing eyes, look down the street, no one else could I see
The hand of God before me, guiding me to thee

A smile emerged upon my face, I even had a giggle
My head now shook from side to side, is this Vision real
I knew from now, my faith in one, will never leave my side
On that night where tears fell, God brought me strength inside

I remember of a story, I wish to share with you
I asked my Father in Heaven, what in my life, I do
He told me very clearly, one day when 55
You’ll write a book, about your life, in spiritual sense, bout you

I wondered all those years ago, what could I write, bout so
I tried to wake my brain up, my memories flooding, flow
I thought about experiences, the many twists and turns
The nights my Angels, sat on bed, prepare for all I do

Then a lightbulb moment, I knew much more to come
I knew I would have visions more, to share with all of you
I didn’t at this stage in life, know what words I’d share
Believe me when I tell you so, I’m nearly half way there

Few years left, more things to learn, many visions see
Carry on my spiritual path, not giving up on thee
I am excited, future so, world is changing so
When 55, you’ll know much more, what God plans, I will show

Many years ago from now, my journey starting out
I listened to the music, my Angels sending out
I saw their signs, not understand, everything like storm
My time had come, awakening, to share all from our Lord

Head was spinning round and round, no one understood
I spent my time in solitude, unsure what I must do
Everyday, a feather placed, on my path to greet
Everywhere I saw their signs, presented on the streets

Maybe a number, repeat itself, until I understood
A book I read, significance, my brain start, understood

A world, from child, remembered well, again in Gods true home

How could I be, someone to share, the vision Gods shown me
Underestimate myself, I’m doing this today

I’m sitting today with Angels, beautiful they are
They’re sharing words of comfort, their wings are spread so far
We’re chatting about our world today, they tell me to be calm
This will soon be over, keep spreading, your words far

They share with me, the work they do, one yet, not to see
They tell me off the bridges, White, they’re building, new world be
The bridges will transform our lives, much closer, Heaven, Free
It is the staircase to Heaven, God, our eyes will see

So much work is going on, create, a world of new

A magic wand, my hand is placed, fairy dust is spread
Throughout our world, at present, I pray for this today
I pray that others stay indoors, protect all ones, so meet
Our world of uncertainty, heals, brings us, a world of peace

Clapping, clapping, can be heard, our streets at 8, be heard
Thanking all our NHS, for all their amazing work
Praying for their safety, as they leave ones, they love
Our claps are prayers to heaven, prayers sent to our Lord

I know at times, our world feels sad, but indoors we must stay
To allow this virus, to pass through, one day, it’ll go away
But for now, keep all ones safe, stay inside your homes
Pray each day for all loved ones, send light, out to our world

Unsure of when I’ll see them, the weeks are feeling low

The World Is Poorly So Poem

I spoke to one my daughter, I asked how they all were
She shared my grandson, one aged Two, is missing us all dear
She shared he doesn’t understand, why we not visit so
She explained to him, we love him much, the world is poorly so

She shared with me, when he does cry, he goes into our bed
Upon our pillows, where once slept, he places, tiny head
He snuggles up to pillow, says Nana, so was here
Silently, he holds on tight, his tears, she does hear

He falls asleep, pillow held, his breathing, let’s out sigh
His little tears, still falling, when his eyes, shut wide
She sits him down, explains this much, soon they’re back again
Cuddles they will share with you, your family, love they send

He looks at her, his lashes wet, he tries to smile, still sad
My daughter, gives him cuddles, she gives him love as well
Amazing Mummy, yes she is, she’s shared our hearts with him
She brings him comfort, dries his tears, soon we’ll be with him

I wish today, I could see ones I love, a computer screen, between

I’m sitting on my window sill, my curtains, draped of Blue
Staring out my window, capture, view of true
Just ahead, I spot a hill, seems many miles away
My vision enhanced, I’m focused, my hill it comes my way

The sides they are all perfect, many feet have stopped
I see dots of White, so fluffy, Lambs, nestled with their mums

The day today is sunny, the grasses nice and warm
Outside now in your garden, there’s loads to see, much more
Notice how the sun rays, tickle, blades of grass
Spot the tree in garden, roots are ever last

Hear the birds a singing, the squirrel, which climbs your fence
The wiggly worm, it’s head pops out, underneath, dirt, mess
Spot the little butterfly, perfect wings of White
Hear the dogs a barking, the cats jumping, great heights

Hear no traffic, flowing past, the silence in the air

Waking up, sheet pushed back, a stretch of my arms two

Sandals thrown onto my feet, a coffee in my hand
Off I go to meet the day, a deckchair, book, lap land
Sunshades on, hat of straw, I read my words away
Sitting in the sunshine, helps blow my fears away

Sipping Lemonade of chilled, I take a little break
Munching slowly on my scone, the night before I make
Finishing now, last chapter so, the air now little chill

As an adult young, my table I would stay
Writing away for hours, my books, my words do lay
Writing of just roaming free, the winds, the bundles hay
Rolling down the hillsides, making pots from clay

Hours passing by each day, my mind it does excite

Pages turning over, black scribbles, upon each page
My dream I am inventing, my book, with words do say

Once upon a time, it reads, I travel to my spot
One where I can live my dream, capture beauty lot
Standing facing waterfall, watching waters Blue
Observing how the Blue turns White, crashing just below

Moving on,  I spot a horse, Black Stallion so it is
I take a walk now over, place my nose on his
Looking into eyes, big Brown, lashes which curled so
I stroke it’s mane, he nudges back, love is showing through

On to the end, I finish with, a person I meet so
Laying by the rivers edge, reflection it does show
Looking back at me today, I know that perfect smile

I read a message, just last night, from my friend of one
Trisha is like a sister, our life, we’ve shared such fun
Meeting by the gates of school, when we were years of 4
Holding hands in playground, threw marbles on the floor

Years pass, our plaits do match, our music taste the same
Having sleepovers, sharing dreams, Badminton our game
Enjoying roasts on Sundays, her Mum a brilliant cook
Eating trifle for our tea, her dad and us, play kerplunk

Getting ready for discos, lip gloss we do sport
Our ra ra skirts same colours, hair gel, my hair short
Putting on our rollerblades, empty street we spin
Playing tennis on front lawn, Trisha always win

Sitting in her bedroom, posters everywhere
We’re at the age of courting, our dream guys, notes would share

Upon a roller coaster high, we’re screaming at wits end

I’m sitting in my treehouse, doors are open wide
I’m feeling wind upon my face, touching cheek, left side
Just then so, my hand does feel, as gentle as can be
A butterfly of colours bright, says hello to me

We sit together in the peace, my new friend and me
I’m studying, wings on back, I have mine too, so see
I’m seeing as they are now closed, but close a perfect match
Mine are too, gently placed, perfect, upon my back

Hours pass, slight flutter so, wings are opening up
Down I stare and watch wings spread, colours I see glow
Off it goes, into wide world, strength in wings do fly
I too now, spread my wings, join butterfly in sky

I Met Lord On His Staircase Poem

I see a winding staircase, one of golden so
Handrail, trailed forever, it’s ending, I don’t know
Up my feet, tiny steps, excitement in my tummy
Holding on, continue climb, not rushing, not so hurry

Climbing now, on and on, never giving up
I feel inside, internally, there’s someone at the top
On more climbs, I meet a bend, around and round I go
The steps, now opening far and wide, joined now, by one know

Standing there, white attire, a belt of golden thread
Hair of White, beard to match, a crown upon his head
Hands outreached, I go to him, in his arms I fall
The person I describe to you, is one, my precious Lord

Lord takes me, to a little room, dimly lit with light
He tells me to sit at a desk, a lamp, offering more light
He goes to bookcase, removes book, from his own library
On the table he does place, a Golden book for me

Pages float, it lands on one, in closer, I do read
A passage which contains some words, stay here, I will share thee
It says don’t worry, all be well, when born I gave you gift
One where your light heals the world, it’s placed in you from me

Candle Of Light Poem

I like you, miss ones I love, many weeks have passed
I haven’t seen my daughter, my son in law called Matt
I haven’t held my precious so, my Grandson I adore
My Mum and Dad are elders, isolated for weeks more

I worry just the same as you, when over, we will be
All together safe and well, in arms we so will be
My siblings and their families, feel million miles away
Each day, I call them on the phone to send my love their way

My home consists of me and loves, my husband, son here to
I feel so very blessed today, I’m sharing home with you
Many chats, one with dreams, my husband, son do hear
To keep the hope, alive in home, our love we hold so dear

I know that there are some of you, living on your own
My words I share, will reach your hearts, so hope with you be known
I send also, a candle burn, to give to you some light
To keep within your homes today, strength now in your sight

Take my hand today, open your wings too
Let’s soar within the skies of Blue, create a dance or two
Let’s settle on the tree tops, and see the world from height
Let’s send our love into the world, embrace it with our light

Let’s open up the flowers, our magic wand, shares love
Let’s sprinkle dust upon our seas, create the perfect spot
Let’s free our beaches, rubbish stored, golden sands now seen
Let’s clear our roads, pollution, so our Lungs breath free

Let’s fly again, new countries scan, let’s put a stop on war
Instead of tears a crying, hear laughter, now much more
Let’s see in world communities, that meet up in the parks
Having their conversations, spreading food, shared far

Let’s sit together, hand in hand, as we kneel in prayer
Let’s pray our world of perfect peace, no one alone, not share
Let’s give ourselves a brand new start, live in our world as one
Where no divide, we all help out, humanity as won

Our New World We Create Poem

I’m hearing every day the same, our life return to norm
Everyone go back same life, and live each day from dawn
But do we so want the same thing, or do we now need change
Our world as we once knew it, could remain the same

Our streets where homeless do fill space, sitting all alone
Our NHS underfunded, our needs not there, pay low
Minimum wage, we’re offered so, undervalued we do feel
Poverty striking everywhere, hunger so is real

Countries without water, no medical supplies
Wars they do continue, taking thousands lives
Cruelty, does reign our world, our communities divide
What are we going back to, we need our world survive

What I’m trying to explain today, our world can become new
Where everyone looks out for all, our strength shared through and through
Our world it can be full of light, if we only share our hope
Our new world be created, so above, no pain is spoke

Lets Take A Walk In Gods Garden Poem

Let’s take a walk today, God’s garden, roam around
Everywhere is beautiful, no noise is found, no sound
Walkways cushioned, plush of Greens, spongy so they feel
Trees of large, dotted around, red shiny apples, real

Arches, arches, stretched far wide, embraced with roses Red
Birds within trees, branches, Angels words, tunes send
Everything as clear as be, my vision so is strong
My eyes are taking all this in, in Gods arms I belong

Walking on, a bench I see, one as White as snow
Sitting now, my hands are clasped, unsure of what now know
In an instance, by my side, my Father, now does sit
Together in the silence, his hand in mine he grips

Breathing still, I do remain, as calm I’ve ever been
I’m now in bliss, perfection, upon Gods bench, not dream
I thank my Father up above, for calling me to him
Time we’ve spent together, shows my faith in him

Take A Walk With Me Poem

If I was to take a walk today, upon the streets of still
No traffic noise, distract me, no bustle, sound, step leaf
My eyes and ears, capture things, my vision opened up
I take your hand, come walk with me, let’s go and have a look

I see the flowers sprouting, little buds now here
I hear the birds a singing, cheep, cheep, my ears near
I listen to the silence, my mind it as some room
I see the rainbow in the sky, sat perfectly in Blue

I see the grasses, Green around, I hear the bumble bees
I smell the buttercups of yellow, beauty I do see
I hear the laughter, in homes pass, the dog in garden, bark
I see one parent with their child, laughing, swing in park

I ask as we are holding hands, do you see these things too
Our walk as brought a thousand truths, the silence as shown through
All these things we have each day, too busy to notice so
Next time you do walk in the still, more things, God he will show

Humanity As One Poem

The message I am sending out, to all of you today
Please stay within your homes of warmth, your family to will stay
This soon will pass, our world regained, normality of some
Again in arms of loved ones, bless all everyone

What will the world look like when over, here I give a clue
Appreciation of small things, will always stay with you
The simple task of washing hands, carried out much more
Appreciation of foods in plenty, at our grocery stores

Our NHS with wings of White, need medals, bravery so
Each day they work, keep loved ones well, thank you, they need know
Their work of pain they’re going through, needs recognition beyond
I hope they’re valued now much more, our claps remain for long


This virus here, brings unity, we all need all as one
We need too keep each other safe, hold hands, remain so strong
I say to you, I share my prayer, for you and ones you love
I ask the same, please say a prayer, send to God above
