I See Inspirational Poem

As I walk within Gods land, my eyes they see so much
I see the smiles that do hide pain, the tears that are not shown
I see the hearts not now complete, but broken in two piece
I see the boulders on shoulders, of others pass on street

I feel the pain, hits me so, each persons pain is mine
It feels just like an arrow felt, each person steps pass by
I see the worry on their face, no money, purse does hold
I see the cupboards bare of food, hungry, stomach knows

I see elderly, sitting in a chair, no one to share sweet words
No heating on, can't pay the bill, frozen to their bones
I see people huddled on the streets, no key to unlock door
I see children, not know love, wanting life much more

I see cruelty of animals left, their bowl no food is there
I see our world fighting, lives lost, no one seems to care
I see places darkened by the pain, instead there should be light
I ask we pray for light return, so pain is out of sight

The beginning of my journey, so many mountains I did face
My steps stood still, unsure of go, inside I'm feeling dread
Every step I thought of, beads sweat on my forehead
Each breath I took, apprehension felt, so my still steps didn't tread

Each night I prayed to God help me, please fill my soul with strength
Please let my sweat dry, beats resume, stop doubt within my head
Let my steps start moving, allow my feet to climb
So I can face the future, remove my fear inside

One day I felt a peacefulness, reside within my soul
My strength it felt the strongest, my cue to now let's go
I lifted feet and moved them, my mountain start to climb
Inside I felt I'm doing this, my soul it came alive

My steps were climbing higher, the top my eyes could see
The hope I could see clearer, shouting out to me
I took my steps of final, on top I now reside
The view of life was perfect, since then I've reached more climbs

I sit upon my comfy chair, my shoulders, blanket drape
My legs are curled, to my left side, all warm and now at rest
In my hand, a glass of wine, mulled, is how it tastes
Staring into open fire, my breath, it does feel great

My ears hear the cracking, of the wood, a burn
The heat is touching every part, my skin, is feeling warm
I think about this little treat, blessed, I feel inside
Cause outside now, the air is cold, another lives outside

No armchair, to snuggle them, no crack of fire, they hear

Walking over cobbled paths, my mind it is in still
My breathing slowed to such a pace, I feel great peace within
My mind not full of heavy noise, negativity, there’s no room
Only thoughts of love and peace, settled in sweet home

I started on a pathway, one where, truth be shown

Yes, there's still been struggles, yes, my tears have flown

Today I wake up early, my blinds I open up
Outside, grey skies, producing rain, the view a little dull
