I tell you of a story, one with words so true
The moment that my life crashed down, unsure of what to do
Loved ones I had lost, my tears they would fall
My room it filled with colours, of Angels standing tall

I lifted my arms to them, so they would hold me tight
I felt their presence round me, my tears wouldn’t stop
They whispered in my ear, it all will be okay

A prayer it as great meaning, the words just flow from you
You say it with intention, love flowing out of you

You may ask for reassurance, in everything you do
You may share the words Lord thank you, or quiet now your mind

I look out over blue skies, grasses that are green

I sit upon my window ledge, my knees are curled up tight
Looking out my window, greeted by a sight

I decide too take a little walk, to clear my weary mind
Out I go,my sun hat on, sunglasses sheilding eyes
Sundress flowing round my knees, a flower print is there
Sandles tied around my feet, two ribbons in my hair

On I go too meet the lane, onwards I do walk
Trees paraded in a line, birds in choir now talk
Humming of the bumble bees, crisp the leaves do sound
Everything is perfect, peace is all around

Up ahead a sty I see, with a little wooden step

Colour of the buttercups, what a pure delight

I look outside my window, the day a little dull
Sunshine lost, only clouds, darkened up above
The air a little chilly, my coal now starts to burn

Bees collecting nectar, humming now it's found

Every drop that leaves the sky, on my head they lay

Everywhere I walked in life, from a child so small
I carried in my little bag, a biro and a book
Sometimes I would have to stop, scribble down some notes

I look outside my window, the air a little damp
I pull on jeans, a thicker coat, a scarf encases well
My wellies fit my feet so snug, a bobble hat I sport
Then I turn the handle, leave by the back door

The ground is wet from rain before, puddles I do see
I jump over one, not make a splash, continue walking
Down the lane my feet do walk, my eyes take in the view
Everything so silent, no wind is coming through

Green the leaves sit upon the trees, raindrops I do see
There before a wooden gate, inviting all of me
In I go and fields meet me, like patchworks on the ground
Everywhere my eyes see life, scurrying on the ground

One blade of grass is home too, a ladybird with spots
Underneath I see a beetle, a rock a home it's got
A web is spun of finest silk, a spider does live there
Waiting for it's dinner, a fly stuck in its lair

Insects, colours and the air, each breath brings something new

I see my view of life, a mountain top I stand
My wings outstretched behind me, taking in Gods land
My eyes look round in awe, the beauty before me

I remember as a child, my life it felt carefree
Walking in the wilderness, climbing trees of three
No fear there inside of me, no danger too be told
Swinging from a hanging branch, inhaling life of Gold

Time it had no existence, lazy days were called

We Are Our Oceans Poem

We each resemble oceans, our tides we have the same
Sometimes we have stillness, sometimes we have waves
Sometimes life does feel the low, receding like the tides
Sometime there is happiness, the light upon it shines

Sometimes there's no waves at all, this is felt in still
Then the waves are crashing, turmoil is felt within
Sometimes there is emptiness, as the waters feel void
Feelings there a stirring, the things we do avoid

Our oceans they do flow so fast, our life is like this too
They stop against the boulders, our life our walls show through
Sometimes there's no movement, our crossroad this is called
This is when our biggest strength, our oceans are our Lord

My Angels Join Me Poem

I sit upon my blanket, checks of blue it is

In between the fields, green surrounding me

Everything is silent, no breeze upon the trees

Sunlight shining down on me, my freckles do meet me

My eyes they go a wandering, looking for a clue

Then I spot two butterflies, loved ones I once knew

There upon a tree branch, a robin it is perched

Signs I see before me, my Angels there of true

Then within the distance, I spot a feather white

Sitting upon a flower petal, Angels full of light

As I sit there staring, my shoulder, hand is there

Sitting right beside me, Michael shows he cares

I look up now just briefly, the clouds are staying still

One sticks out before me, an Angels wing I see

In the comfort with my signs, my stillness as brought much

Here upon my blanket checked, my signs I share with you

Your Ceiling Of Colours Poem

I lay upon my bed, pencil caress my lips
The ceiling white, canvas blank, my mind now going still
My eyes now staring up above, lights appear for me
Colours of the rainbow, before me I now see

Colours swirling round and round, a picture now creates
Words are coming to me, my story now be great
My imagination flowing fast, my pencil starts to move
My hand it reaches to the end, my story I'll show you

On my tummy I now lay, my page before I see
My pencil scribbles words unknown, my Angels talk to me
Looking down my pages full, a story there on show
Now I'll tell you what I've wrote, ones to bring you hope

My Angels say the colours so, your own two eyes can see
There upon the ceiling vast, your Angels are with thee
Do the same as I've just done, see their words for you
The words you'll see there looking back, your path is shown to you
