As I wake up early, my hand my sleep does wipe
Arms outstretched as I do yawn, a new breath for today
As my eyes do look around, the sunlight catches eyes
A smile does show upon my face, I'm glad I am alive

Throwing back the duvet, a spring within my step
My wardrobe showing colours bright, of dresses that I've pressed
Everything is beautiful, everything is swell
In my heart I feel such love, I join in prayer right now

I thank my father from up above, for this precious day
Words of love and gratefulness, for all I have today
Even now as each breath takes, I'm thankful for each one
God my father stay with me, guide me in my life

As I walk down by the stream, the sun is beating so
Sun hat shading my long hair, a plait my shoulder flows
Sun dress draped around my knees, my feet they are now bare
The ground is calling out too me, great energy I feel there

The flowing I now feel through my veins, positivity hits my mind
I feel like I am floating, worries absent out of sight
There a warmth does hit me, but this is not the sun
The ground has brought me all the joys, a love for everyone

The next time that you do feel blue, or a little out of sort

If I was to say to you, what would you wish for now
Would it be a lottery win, great gifts all around
Would it be great stays away, exotic lands to see
Would it be a great big house, to show your wealth in thee

Would it be a fancy car, more money in the bank
Would it be a fancy job, that shows others you’ve done well
Would it be a perfect bride, great gold there on display
Would it be a yacht of White, so you can sail away

See now how you feel inside, is this happiness you feel
Are you living all your dreams, does your life feel real
Do you go to sleep at night, a worry not in your head
Do you wake up grateful, your path you’ve already tread

Let’s now take another look, let’s turn these things around
If I could take your pain away, would you choose this option now
If I gave you extra time, to do all the things of small
I know your answer would be yes, materialism doesn’t count at all

I look outside into the sky, there’s darkness all around
No white cloud looking back at me, just stillness all around
Then I look too my left, a little light I see
A sparkle that is beautiful, a star as bright can be

As my eyes look around, more little lights do form
They seem too be moving straight too me, as new stars they are born
There I see within the sky, the light between the dark
Everything is clearer now, the sky alight with love

You see we are just the same, has our little stars
Every single one of us, forms too make our world

I sit he now a thinking, of where my words come from
I walk around within my heart, ignore words my mind will stop
I see all things as beautiful, I see all with my love
Here my words do come to life, to share within the world

As I walk around each day, my eyes they spot it all
The people who do pass by me, or sit in a shop door
I see the sun a glistening, even if it rains

I look around my room just now, I’ll share what I do see

I take a trip today, but only in my mind
I go to place of quiet, to see what things I find
I stay nice and still, there flashes do emerge

I'm going on a journey, my mind is travelling so
I've shut out all things human, I trust my spiritual self
I see life from the greatest heights, my wings have opened up

Grasses like a patchwork quilt, colours cover land

Our life is one dimensional, our human selves believe
It keeps us stuck in just one place, other worlds they are not freed

If we look at life through humans eyes, this is what we see
A view which is one dimensional, the others are hid from thee

This Was Once Me Poem

This is how I used to see myself, tired and worn down
No light was there guiding me, just darkness all around
A heavy boulder walked with me, my shoulders it weighed down
Everywhere I tried to search, a piece waiting to be found

In my mirror I would look, but sadness did look back
No light there found within my eyes, no wings my back were found
My feet were tired of the walk, my legs ached from the climb
Everything felt negative, my eyes were walking blind

Then one day this all changed, myself, I recognised
Not as my adult self, but the child I’d left behind
Then my inner child spoke, look this is who you are
All you need to find yourself, is heal what’s in your heart

So this I did, a walk I’ve endured, transformation has occurred

I look before my eyes do see, a light as white can be

Sometimes upon your journey, you feel your going back
You feel the steps you’ve walked so far, stop you in your tracks
You feel your not now travelling, the path you saw ahead
You search around for a white light, but confusion reigns your head

You feel you’ve hit a brick wall, you feel so very lost
You don’t know where to turn to, no signposts guiding you
You may feel your back right at the start, you’ve got to start again
But all that’s happening it is time, to analyse your gain

In this space you’ll feel appreciation, for everything you’ve learnt
You’ll notice in you strength you’ve held, to help you make it through
You’ll see the hope you’ve held inside, or you wouldn’t be where you are
